Looks like I have the dreaded flu. All I can do is lie around and try not feel too terrible. What shows would you put on, to accompany that timeless drifting in and out of sleep with intermittent fever?

Thanks. "Rescue remedy" has done wonders when our kids were sick. I'll have to go look and see if we have any left.

Here's a pretty good one when Bobby was sick.

And Jerry plays "Touch" opener for him(my guess)

Oh yeah if you can handle a mouth full of mushrooms, they will kill the cold BUT its one hell of a night while they do their majik-lol. I do speak of this from first hand experience. Spent the night curled up under a desk but felt great the next morning.

Good luck- feel better

I must say I have a terrible immune system and last year I had mono for an entire month, thus leading to a kidney infection that demanded two nights in the hospital. I feel your pain. Here is a list of things to heal the sick and pass the time.
1. Jerry's True Hollywood Story is on Youtube
2. The Band's classic albums of the Brown album is also on youtube.
3. The Pizza Tapes
4. Seinfeld
5. Hydrocodine
6. Fresh Bong rip(if not for you replace with more Seinfeld)
7. Making Fresh vegetable or fruit juices for the needed nutrients. I really like carrot/apple.
8. Dick's Picks Vol 31.
9. The Big Lebowski, Reservoir Dogs, Up in Smoke
If you live in california disreguard all these execpt Seinfeld and Hydrocodine......Hash is all you need.
-Hope I was some help

Try this one, Jer is also pretty sick. His voice is shot, but he makes up for it with some fine playing! Hope you feel better...

I remember this one. Good call.

When I saw your name, I figured it would be a '68 Hartbeats Matrix show with no words -- also a good choice. Thanks,

Is it Boogie Woogie Flu?? If so, you may also want to be checked for Rockin' Pneumonia..... I hear that's going around too.

I once actually got rid of the flu at a dead show. I was sick as a dog the day before this show http://www.archive.org/details/gd1989-04-08.sbd.walker-scotton.miller.83510.sbeok.flac16 and actually had to rent a hotel room for the first time of the tour.
Feeling slightly better the next day but not enough cash to stay another night at the hotel. I figured it would be better to go into the show and sit there than to sit out in the cold parking lot. So I went in and sat on the side of the arena, slightly behind and right to the side of Brent and Jerry. Anyway during the Blow Away I sort of followed Brents instructions during the rant section of the song and in a Quasi-shamanistic sort of way, ripped the flu right out. By second set I felt absolutely fantastic and was hopping and bopping around like I never had it. Jerry caps it off with a really nice Black Peter in this one too so for me this is always the flu cure show. Hope it works for you too.

Great story about expunging the flu out of you.... and I believe you. Music is a powerful tonic for the mind!
